What’s the date, and location of the wedding?
The wedding will be held at Buttermilk Falls Resort, the wedding itself will take place on June 21st but you’re invited to spend the whole weekend with us at the resort.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
We will be hosting an outdoor wedding. In the event of rain, the reception tent will be used for the ceremony as well.

Schedule & Timing
What time is the ceremony?
We are aiming for a 4:30PM ceremony.
Will there be a break between the ceremony and reception?
Yes! Right after the ceremony, we will be taking photos. During cocktail hour, we invite everyone to enjoy a drink and socialize. Please note that someone might come and get you for a photo during that hour.
Accommodations & Amenities
Where will I be staying if I asked for a bed to be saved?
We have made sure that everyone who asked will have a bed assigned to them in one of the cabins. We’ve done our very best to ensure that those sharing a cabin are familiar with one another and that people do still have a level of privacy. Clear signage will be displayed when you arrive on site to help direct you.
What’s in the cabins?
The cabins are like mini-homes stocked with fully equipped kitchens. Learn more here – https://buttermilkfallsresort.com/cottages/
How much is a room and who do I pay?
Rooms were included with the venue, you’ll be staying as our guest – no payment required!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to the limitations of our venue and the contracts we signed with caterers, we cannot accommodate plus ones.
Will there be WIFI?
There is no wifi on site , in a camping area cell service and internet access can be limited but a quick walk towards the Resort entrance can resolve that. SPECIAL NOTE – during your drive to the venue we did notice some dead zones for cell service when we drove there.
Are the cabins air-conditioned?
They are not but the evenings should still be cool by the lake.
Will there be showers and running water?
Yes, all cabins have a washroom and a shower. All the cabins have well water that is regularly tested.
Reception & Celebration
Will there be an open bar?
Yes! We’ll provide a variety of wine, beer, and signature cocktails (during cocktail hour). Non-alcoholic options too. We can bring our own drinks on site, if you have a particular drink that you LOVE, you’re welcome to bring it!
Note: On night one (Friday) we will be putting a cap on drinks, this is to make sure everyone is alive for the actual wedding day and that we don’t run out. Please drink responsibly and remember to hydrate.
Will I need to bring my own food?
We are taking care of all meals through the weekend (Friday Dinner, Saturday Breakfast + Lunch, Sunday Brunch + Saturday Dinner will be a buffet style catered meal). Like the drinks if you have a snack that you LOVE or tend to be hungry throughout the day we ask that you bring your own.
Other than the Saturday Dinner for the wedding, we will be responsible for cooking, some assistance from you may be needed but don’t worry we have plan!
Note: Although it is an open bar and buffet style dinner, it is appreciated if you tip the staff. They’ve been great to work with so far.
Will there be dancing/music?
Absolutely! Come ready to hit the dance floor. Let us know if you have any song requests.
Will there be assigned seating?
For the ceremony, no. We just ask that unless specifically told, you leave the first row empty.
For Dinner, yes. You will have a name card.
